The Saheli is a non-profitable, non-religious and non-political organisation registered under the Society Registration Act – 1860. It is also registered under Bombay Public Trust Act – 1950 and with the NITI Aayog under registration number MH/2023/0339244.

In addition to this Saheli is also registered under CSR-1 certificationwith number CSR00059051.
SAHELI is working on social security, health rights, education rights & safety measures for unorganized workers. Rag pickers, Domestic workers and construction workers are the main target group, who need social protection and support. SAHELI especially focuses on the destitute and marginalized section of the society. SAHELI strives to improved quality of life that in turn, can make them into self-reliant and productive members of society.
It attempts to reach the needy at the grass root levels. SAHELI also focuses on legal issues on unorganized workers, family and matrimonial disputes under the purview of various legislations. SAHELI is the facilitator of the community. Through organization, people are aware about various government policies & Schemes.
SAHELI is committed to address and take issues of community to the appropriate government establishments and try to solve them with minimum risk.
Women and Children are the most vulnerable group of our society, as immediate attention is needed in order to improve their position in the society.
SAHELI has adopted ‘’holistic approach’’ to address the issues which include interventions in the areas of Sustainable Livelihood, Better Health, Education & Legal Awareness. SAHELI has successfully implemented its project in two districts namely Thane and Raigad.
