Babasaheb Ambedkar Birth Anniversary

Saheli Sanstha celebrates Ambedkar Jayanti on the 14th of April every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, who was a great social reformer and the architect of the Indian Constitution. On this day, we organize a workshop on the “Right to Education” for the internal staff to educate and raise awareness among them about the fundamental right to education and its significance, particularly for marginalized communities. Our workshop covers topics such as the importance of education, educational policies, and government schemes for promoting education. We feel so satisfied to have the interested participants engaged in interactive discussions and learning about their role in promoting the right to education through their work at Saheli Sanstha.

Hunar Project 2025

Saheli Sanstha has run Hunar Project for under privilege women from 15th February, 2025 to 14th June 2025. For this purpose Saheli identified a community in Ambernath city.  This community resides in Ambernath Police station area. There are more than 450 house hold in this community which survive on alms and begging. From that Saheli took 27 women from those families and Train them for 4 months in tailoring Course. After training Saheli Sanstha distributed Sewing Machines & Completion Certificate to each beneficiaries of Hunar Project. With help of that Machines this women have stopped begging and started their household business where they make blouse and petticoat and earn at least 5000 to 6000 a month. During this project Saheli did not just train this women for tailoring as well empower them to leave dignified lives.

15th Aug Celebration At Saheli Sanstha

Saheli Sanstha Has Celebrated 79th  Independence day At Saheli Working women hostel. The flag hosting was done by DCP Mr. Sachin Gore. On this day Saheli Sanstha has distributed School Kit to 50 Students(School Bag, Notebook, Drawing Kit etc.). Many other reputed guest visited Saheli Office and appreciated the work . At the end Mr. Jaiprakash Baisane (Director,  Saheli Sanstha) introduce all the journey of Saheli Since 2007, and current milestone of Saheli as Saheli Working Women Hostel. As well Inauguration ceremony of Saheli Working Women Hostel Was done by present Guset of Honours.

Mata Savitribai Phule’s Birth Anniversary

We at Saheli Sanstha also celebrate the birth anniversary of Mata Savitribai Phule every year on 3rd January by honoring the life and legacy of Mata Savitribai Phule, who was a pioneer in the field of education for women and marginalized communities in India. Our celebration aims to create awareness about her contributions and to promote her vision of education as a tool for social empowerment and emancipation. The celebration also includes various activities such as workshops, seminars, and cultural events that highlight the importance of education and women’s rights in society.

Independence Day

Saheli Sanstha celebrates Independence Day on the 15th of August every year by hoisting Teranga and organizing cultural events. It is a day to remember the heroic martyrs of our country and their sacrifices. To celebrate this independence, we organize a facilitation program for SSC and HSC qualified community students and their parents. Through this program, we aim to recognize the achievements of the students and their hard work in their academic pursuits and make the parents encouraged to continue supporting their children’s education and inspire them to pursue higher education. We hope that by organizing such programs we can provide a platform for the students and their families to come together and celebrate their accomplishments.

Republic Day

At Saheli Sansthan, we celebrate Republic Day on the 26th of January, which marks the day when the Constitution of India came into effect. On this day our celebration starts with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by singing the national anthem and patriotic songs. We also organize various cultural and patriotic programs to commemorate this important day by bringing together people from different communities to promote unity and cooperation to spread social harmony, and brotherhood and break down social caste discrimination.

International Labor Day

As we are concerned about the unorganized workers of our society, Saheli Sanstha celebrates International Labor Day on 1st May every year. On this occasion, we organize a Leadership and Capacity Building training program for our internal staff in collaboration with the CORO organization to enhance the leadership and management skills of staff members to better serve the needs of marginalized and vulnerable workers in our communities. This training program covers various topics such as community mobilization, advocacy, and networking. The event also provided a platform for staff members to share their experiences and insights on working with labor groups and explore innovative approaches to addressing their needs.

Ante Natal Care and Post Natal Care Program

Saheli Sanstha, under the m-Mitra project with ARMMAN Foundation, conducts Ante Natal Care and Post Natal Care Melawa every August by reaching out to pregnant or new mothers through phone calls. This initiative aims to provide guidance and support to mothers during and after pregnancy.  We also collect feedback from them to improve our project strategy based on the needs and objectives of the beneficiaries who participate in the Melawa.

Baal Melawa

Every November 20, Saheli Sanstha organizes a Bal Melawa to commemorate International Child Rights Day with community children. This program actually aims to raise awareness about the importance of child rights and their protection. On this occasion, the children participate in various playful and purposeful activities related to child rights. We celebrate this day to provide a platform for children to express their thoughts and feelings about their rights as we believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow and flourish, and this event was a step forward in creating that awareness in the community.

International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year in our organization Saheli Sanstha. It is a day dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. As we are working for women’s empowerment this day remains a day to must celebrate. On this day we organize Mahila Melawa in the community hall and arrange programs to raise awareness about gender inequality and advocate for women’s rights. We take this opportunity to recognize the contributions of women in society and to continue working towards empowering women and creating a more equitable world.
