Sustainable livelihood 

SAHELI has partnered with Pratham organisation to provide skills development training in Basic Hospitality course for 200 plus women from Thane Dist.Further SAHELI with kind support from Women and Child Development Dept. provide skill development training in sewing and tailoring courses for 75 women from Thane Dist. They have been trained in making clothes bags, facemask, school uniforms, ladies dresses etc., After completion of training 39 women beneficiaries have started earning an amount of INR 5000/- to 8000/- as wages for their work, thus providing valuable support to the monthly household income.

One of the major components of the project is to create livelihoods for the local communities. SAHELI under its guidance also formed women Self-help groups. Ujjwala SHG is one of the self-help groups supported under the project to start a tea & snack centre in Ulhasnagar of Thane Dist. The all-women group has been provided with the necessary support of equipment and raw materials and training under this project.SAHELI has also ensured that this group has received the FSSAI certification and provide market linkages. These women have managed to earned worth INR 15,000 in local market.
